I did check them out before deciding maybe I should just wander (@Faye and @Hanzilla were much more organized than I was and did this much earlier), and most were already full by the time I had checked (in May or so). It's really exciting to see SO many enthusiastic people into a similar hobby as you are, all in one place. I am trying to remember in the AMA if you mentioned where you live now; I know you said you lived in Chicago at one time. If you're close enough, you should come to Gen Con next year, it was totally worth it, and with your DMing and acting/writing/art expertise, I bet you would be a hit!

That would be a blast! I would do it for sure if I can find a sponsor who wants me to DM some games.

@K-O Maybe I'm just recalling my old days in high school.... but what about if we did like a secret madlibs but for nerds? Could be text based, or could be a random livestream hangout where you ask for verbs/adjectives/nouns etc.

Also, what if we had a goofy MS paint thread, you know the kind. Someone posts an unfinished picture and others flesh it out, hopefully poorly, in paint.

Well, you can't really see him, he's about the size of a large rice grain, but I have a single brine shrimp named Dewey who lives in a self contained ecosystem as seen on the left side of the photo. If you're not familiar with those, it's a closed habitat that perpetuates it's own balance so long as you allow it some indirect access to sunlight. Inside, algae grows that offers oxygen and food for Dewey.

Dewey originally belonged to the building manager at my work. During a QA session where I was feeling rather slap happy, I asked him about it and if he named it. He said no and challenged me to do it. So I drew a picture of Dewey in the process and his response was what you're seeing there.

A month later, the building manager was transferring to California and asked for me. In short, he gave me Dewey and now the little guy lives on my lamp table where I can make sure he gets some light for his little home. I check on him daily.

This stream was so much fun! I strongly recommend checking it out if you weren’t able to watch it live!

I would choose immortal, because in sense you would also eventually live a life as a portal jumper with more connections. You can’t live for eternity in the same place without eventually being discovered. Every ten years or da you would have to restart your life. Become a new person with a new name in a new place.

Leading to my next question

Would you rather be a vampire, forced to live in the shadows and hunt prey at night never to see the light of day or enjoy the pleasures of the living again or as a werewolf, enjoying a mortal life while having to live with a beast of which you have no control of.

@Mariano TLOU part two is SO good, my partner and I played through the first game a couple of months before the second one dropped, and we were really impressed by how well the second one holds up to the first. It had a lot of controversy surrounding it because of the antagonist, which I personally think was completely unwarranted, and a symptom of how toxic the gaming community can be. The 'plot twist' that happens partway through was completely unexpected and an incredible mechanic for a game imo. It had never been done before, and I found it so captivating.

I don't know if I have ever cried harder watching something than during episode 3 of that show, lol. I was full on sobbing by the end. I also liked how they used the infected sparingly, I think the scenes that did show them showed how absolutely destructive and terrifying they were when encountered. If you run into them, expect that someone will die.

D&D open source D20 is probably the simplest.

Although most of my gaming experience is with WW (White Wolf) OWOD (Old World of Darkness) LARP. I've played most of options but have created/run long-term WtA (Werewolf) games.
