Earth, Water, Fire, Air... Which bender are you?
-
I'll go first.
Water. I have honestly really struggled to pick one, because Aang does make Air bending seem like a hoot. But if I am being real with myself, I am a mischievous soul who would learn blood bending and use it to make my enemies slap themselves.
But really, we live on a ball of water. I would love to explore ocean depths and I feel with enough strength, I could either create a bubble and sink myself down in the ocean (ideally with an air bender who pull air from water molecules into my bubble) orrrrr just make a vertical tunnel down, displacing the water as I go.
What about y'all?

@Ezra Oh man, if it were 100% my choice, I'd love to be an Airbender. Being able to fly and glide around with the staff/glider (without the fear of dying I get from the thought of hang gliding or paragliding) is a big dream of mine. Personality-wise, I'd probably align more with Earthbenders, but I'll take it if it means I don't get stuck with lame-ass Firebending.

Probably water. I grew up on the shore and I've always enjoyed that setting. Plus every bathtub becomes a jacuzzi when you're a water bender.
-
@Mariano yea fire bending looks cool at first... but like... they don't have anything truly... fun? lol
-
I think I would have to go with Air-Bending. Water-bending is cool and super versatile. But I want to be able to fly.
-
Right! How are they winning this war? I mean I guess they didn't, but like 100 years of that shit?!
-
I got to go air bending on this. Remember when ang ripped the air out of that guys lungs or fought those guards with his arms tied behind his back. Terrifying

I'm not terribly familiar with ATLA (I know, I know, trust me I've been told to watch it) but I think I'd go with water bending too. First because it looks really cool. Second because the water benders in the show are based on Inuit tribes and my late grandmother was Inuit. Third, uh, I think blood bending is like an offshoot of water bending and that's pretty cool.

Airbending, especially if it includes being able to harness storms. I've always felt an affinity for wind and thunderstorms. I love how many people in this thread chose Airbending, I didn't think it would be so popular!
