@Mariano I tend to switch to short stories/fanfictions when novels become too daunting. Don't get down on yourself if you don't finish things, there is so much to read and sometimes when you start something it doesn't play out like you hoped. I remember once pulling myself through two books in a series because I loved the first book and couldn't bring myself to admit that it had gone to shit. In hindsight I should have thanked the first book for the experience and moved on. Life is too short to read bad books.

So I have three kids and no time. Getting through games takes significant investment, even then my partner and I take turns playing the same game account because we share the same boat in life. We recently got to BotW, and I'm incredibly impressed. I want a fantasy game, and there was so much buzz around it (especially since Tears of Kingdom recently came out) that we decided to try it.

I love the open world and the elements the design team ran with. I could climb mountains for HOURS. I love the environmental elements and gameplay is simple enough that if we don't pick it up for a week we still remember the controls. DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE WITCHER CONTROLS! @Alexander-Salkin WHAT???!!!!!! I have never heard of this! So I googled it and the source is Fizban's Treasury of Dragons which came out in October 2021 and I have been exculsively DMing since March of 2021 in the FATE system. And to be honest I haven't really looked back at DnD since. QUICK SOMEONE THROW TOGETHER A GAME I NEED A DRAGON!

Thats so true! The moment they started handing our Dire wolves I was like me me me me me!!!! And then they started killing them.....

I was having a delightful conversation with a community member, where we were happily one-upping each other with nerdy ways in which we honor the fandoms in our lives. I was telling them that at my wedding our table names were zones from World of Warcraft and how I walked down the aisle to "Across the Stars" and back up to the "Imperial March". We had a John Williams Power hour, with guests guessing what movie went to with each song. Our children all have a ridiculous amount of middle names from fandoms ranging from Star Wars and Pride & Prejudice to Sailor Moon and Harry Potter. I don't have any tattoos yet but I would love to get some.

How do you honor your fandoms?

I remember watching the show, but I think what sat with me the most was the Power Rangers Movie - Secret of the Ooze. I loved the villain and fondly remember them playing Van Halen in the credits. Though today I learned that Saban treated the cast and production crew like garbage.

I can cook, but I prefer to play sous-chef to my husband who loves to cook. I am happy to bake you anything from cakes to bread, but I can't follow a recipe to save my life. Oooo Cinnamon... probably needs some cardamon too. All while my husband looks over my shoulder cringing over my spice dalliances.

I'm of the opinion that animal companions in most games/books/media are the BEST. Whose your favorite? Mine is definitely toothless! Look at that face! The H2TYD series is one of my favorite, though the movies get the spotlight. Toothless will forever hold a place in my heart. Whose your favorite and why?

I'm sorry Ezra. I have been dumped twice, and the last one hurt so much that I made sure it never happened again. Since then I always made sure I was the first one out (so sorry exes!).

It sucks putting yourself out there and then getting trampled on. Focus on yourself and your friendships. Lean into them for companionship and indulge. No need to worry about presents for a special someone. That's cash to spend on yourself!

Oooo I really want a fey dragon from World of Warcraft! I met my partner in the game, and at our wedding, the tables were continents from Azoroth. I want to round it our with Fey dragons in my kids birth stone colors.

So I have a gripe, I read the ACOTAR series and the ending is so anticlimactic that it ruins the whole thing.

Now, admittedly, I'm not just reading it for the story, but I feel done dirty. I stuck it out for the whole thing and you're telling me
