What's the funniest thing to happen in one of your games?
I want to hear some funny DnD stories! A personal favorite moment for me was when I rolled so well that I was able to bodily lift up another player character in my party and throw her javelin-style at the enemy. It wasn't graceful or um...wise, but it worked! Share your own funny moments!
@SwampCreature Funniest thing to happen to me was back in my White Wolf days. I was trying to roll for stealth/subterfuge and ended up being mistaken for a prostitute by my target. I was suppose to follow him, not bed him, oh well.
One time I convinced our entire party to make 'Transformer Dragon' in order to create a distraction to allow a group of elves to escape from a human city where they were being enslaved. My character has glamour magic, and I told the party that we could all hold onto each other in the general shape of a dragon, and I could throw the magic over all of us to create what was, essentially, a transformer. The other player characters told my character it was a ridiculous idea...so I rolled against them to convince them and ended up rolling very well against their very low rolls (which is not usual, I'm a terrible roller). The other player characters were immediately convinced this was the best plan ever. We did this plan a few sessions later; I again rolled VERY well, we were able to add bonuses to our rolls, and we almost burned the town down with another character's fire magic for added flair. It was awesome and hilarious.
my warforged didn't know how to swim, but i bravely tied a 50' rope to the ship and jumped overboard to fight the Kraken, announcing to pull me up when the job was done. Warfoged don't need to breathe, so drowning wasn't an issue.
the fight was over, and players started discussing next steps.
I silently crossed my arms and closed my eyes, and blew up my cheeks like i was holding my breath, leaning back in my seat. I stayed there for what felt like 10 minutes of players discussing their plans. 3 days pass in game. I started putting candy wrappers on my face as if seaweed was accumulating.
By the time they noticed I had been very quiet, the barbarian looks over at me and was like... "what is Kaj doing?" Then he goes "OH MY GOD we never pulled him back up!".
And then everyone cheered and clapped and hoisted me in the air singing songs of my glory. okay that last part wasn't real, but we all had a good laugh.
