ACOTAR - GRIPE

So I have a gripe, I read the ACOTAR series and the ending is so anticlimactic that it ruins the whole thing.
Now, admittedly, I'm not just reading it for the story, but I feel done dirty. I stuck it out for the whole thing and you're telling me

nobody dies???!!! Somehow everyone lives??!!! How is that possible? Literally, it's rainbows and sunshine for everyone? The BBEG just kinda rolls over and dies
