RE: What would your custom dice set look like?
Have you seen the metal coin dice from flip die? They look super cool. I think they’d be awesome for a pirate campaign.

Fey Resistance in Goblin Town!
Join the Fey Resistance as they fight their way through Goblin hoards with explosives, espionage and endless absurdity!
All in the name of Fey independence!
In this story you take on the role of a mental patient in a dark and horrific asylum just to break out into the equally dark and horrific Goblin City of Gorgatha. Gorgatha is lit by little fairies in bottles and through dark alleys fairy collectors called “Spotters and Bottlers” lurk and roam the streets for unregistered Fey. Luckily, you are quickly saved by a Leprechaun lawyer who introduces you to the heroes of our story… The Fey Resistance.History of Gorgatha
Gorgatha was originally an Elven city named Allunadel Uathfel which means Moonlake Falls in High Elven. High Elves from Amerelia, outraged by the integration of humans and half-elves into elven society, founded a new settlement on the western shores of the Arch-Fey Archipelago on a holy site where, it is said, the first Elves once stood. There the first elves planted a great banyan tree that's roots connected to every tree on earth and there they began teaching the ways of the druid. Elves traveled from everywhere to visit the miraculous gardens and learn the old druidic ways of the ancient Elves. With druidic magic the elves were able to produce ten times the amount of any farm on 1/10th the land and Allundel Uathfel soon became the most prosperous port in the world. Of course, everyone else besides the Elven Folk couldn’t pronounce the name so it was shortened and known thereafter as Allufel. After three hundred years of prosperity the elves used their wealth to construct a massive school exclusively for elves, adding Arcane Magic to the curriculum. Another 500 years of construction later, Allufel caught the eye of the Cave Goblins of the Crimson Coast who after their years of extensive gem mining- attempted to buy Allufel from the Elves. At this point the Goblins already had an impressive fleet of Goblin Junks, mountains of gems and a sizable army but were completely dependent on Allufel for the health of their people as nothing grows on the Crimson Coast. Owning Allufel would quickly place them as the world's top superpower which aside from the Goblins nobody in the world wanted. The Elves not only refused but were so insulted during their meeting with the Goblin King that they imposed outrageous sanctions on all Goblin Trade. Thus the Elven & Goblin Wars began costing countless lives on both sides. The Goblins, however, unlike the elves had lives to spare and with the aid of unlimited supply of ships provided by the Dwarves, the war waged on for ten years with little hope of resolving, until one night when everything changed. The Elves greatest enemy lived just below their city in the cold, unforgiving recesses of the Underdark, biding their time until the right opportunity struck. The Dark Elves, on the night of the new moon, emerged from secret passages all over Allufel and assassinated high ranking government officials key to an Elven victory. Over the next few years the Goblins took territory in Allufel until they had complete control of two islands making up half of Allufel. For the next ten years there was a stalemate as Goblins settled into their new home and the Elves slowly realized there was no return to the way things were. Treaties were signed to end the war while preserving as much as possible of the Elven sacred sights. The throne was surrendered to the Goblin King who renamed Allufel, The Goblin City of Gorgatha. Over time more and more elves leave and the gardens slowly go to seed. To compensate the Goblins focus their efforts on tinkering and inventions but lack the natural resources needed to satiate their greed. Timber is all but impossible to cut due to the surrounding area falling under the protection of the Fey. Thus the Goblins discovered a new natural resource… Fairies.Gorgatha Now
What was once a beautiful elven city with rich architecture and beautiful gardens is now overrun with goblin industry.
Goblins bustle around in suits and merchant goblins sell you broken trinkets and inventions that occasionally work. Walking along the streets you might expect to find someone selling organs in an alleyway or a masked vigilante perched like a gargoyle on a rooftop. The different sectors of Gorgatha vary drastically in race and social classes and are as follows:
-
The Royal Gardens- Where Castle Gorgatha is located. Beautiful flowers and gardens that have remained the least changed from its Elven rule.
-
Town Square- citizens from around the world travel far distances just to shop at the collection of magic shops that make up the center ring of town square. From the new fireworks stores and clock shops to the oldest magic weapon smiths, Gorgatha is a wonder our place for the wealthy.
-
Fairy Town- A concentration camp for fairies. This is a gated concrete forest with metal mushroom apartments and iron trees. Home to The Felicity Felicity where they process and experiment on Fey.
-
The Docks- A large bustling port stayed half afloat with barrels and destroyed ships. Home of the Dwarven Express- a large elegant train that leads from the docks to the Dwarf mines in the North.
-
The Gem- Theaters, clubs and gambling dens house the seedy criminal underworld of Gorgatha
-
The Upper Gem- This plateau of green lawns and mansions is elevated above the rest of the city with stairs winding around a butte of dirt and sewer pipes on all sides. Hot air balloons carry the wealthy too and fro from their gated community to Town Square, The Gem, The Royal Gardens and one day soon the Kingdom of Curiosities.
-
Wilbury Gashlycrumb’s Kingdom of Curiosities- The self proclaimed “King of the Fairies”, Wilbury Gashlycrumb is a corrupt gnome who capitalized by aiding the Goblins in the capture and registration of Fey so he could build a castle of his own that houses a dark fey themed amusement park that has yet to open its gates
-
Trash Town- where goblins have made homes in the mountains of trash they collect from the muddy river that runs through their slums. Cargo containers piled high make up apartment high rises with hundreds of bridges running between them all like a giant spiders web between two galleons.
-
Old Gorgatha- The heart of the city when it belonged to Elves is now an abandoned decimated graveyard of buildings haunted by ghosts. It is said that the Elves put a curse on it before they were forced out. Necrozarovich “The Nightmare”, a vampire (who believes we are all in the dream of a sleeping dragon and it is his duty to wake the dragon up through spreading fear) rules Old Gorgatha with his cult followers known as “The Ravenous”
-
Falls- Around the old Banyan Tree is a series of tree forts that inhabit the remaining elven residents of Gorgatha. Behind the Great Banyan Tree is a mountain with a massive waterfall pouring out from the Elven Temple atop it.
-
The Sleepless Swamp- A boardwalk runs through the swamp illuminated by lanterns that lead to merchant wagons, home to unsavory outcasts who earn a living though fortune telling, thieving and moonshining. This is the first home of the Fey Resistance.
-
Bumbersnoot and Waits Academy of Arcane Arts- The old elven school turned into a factory by famous chocolatier Marbles Bumbersnoot and his partner the famous aviator H.H. Waits. These two use the elven students to make magical candies, airships and automatons whom they sell to the highest bidder.

The Plot
There are plenty of missions that the Fey Resistance can go on (see below) before eventually they’re betrayed by the Lone Laugher and turned over to the Gorgathan Government. They battle for their freedom in the never before won game of “Slime Chess” in the Fog Bay Oubliette (Gorgatha Dungeons). Slime Chess is exactly what it sounds like: Prisoners against slimes, oozes and animate puddings all commanded by the King Piece, “The Squire of Slimes” who is an animated gum-ball machine with an octopus inside who wears a translucent animated slime over his shoulders like a boxers pre-fight robes. Before they can win or lose, H.H. Waits flies overhead in his new airship and sends down a cage-like elevator like an anchor, crashing down into the chess board and announces that he is taking the Fey Rebellion with him simultaneously announcing his candidacy for the Gorgatha throne. Now you have the richest citizen of Gorgatha backing your elite group of eco- terrorists… What will you do next?
Sample Quest 0.
I like this idea of a prequel that has nothing to do with the quest until the end: There is a fisherman who has been hunting a beast for many years. He ties phonograph players to mannequins on buoys and winds them up before launching them into the fog. The creature if it ever arrives comes disguised as a hooded man in a small boat with a single lantern. This lantern is part of the fish and the hooded man is revealed to be an eye. But that’s not important. What is important is the shipwreck that you stumble upon in the fog. There is evidence of a massacre on the ship but all the bodies are gone. Upon investigation they find a man chained to the floor in a room in front of a tank with an octopus inside. The man is raving mad and traumatized on top of speaking in a strange foreign language. There are however, notations scattered around the room showing drawings of a new species that eats the head of its victim and takes over the body. Their choice on what to do with this octopus effects the fate of the world.Sample Quests 1.
Maguro, the king of dragon people and Queen Rakbura of the Devil Tribe of the Ghost Dragon Jungles have married and joined tribes. They have a baby that is half dragon-man half devil-man named Prince Boo Rakbura. The Dragon tribe believe like Necrozarovich that we live in the dream of a sleeping dragon but are on the good side. They believe that knowing you are in a dream grants you great magical powers. Anyway, they’re invited to Gorgatha by the Queen so she may bless the union but the night they arrive they are ambushed and killed all except the baby prince. The Resistances contacts in the underworld tell you he was taken by Devora Devotchka, a powerful dark elf mob boss who runs a bordello in the underdark called “the Sunken Star” which resides inside a paddle boat that turns by waterfall to illuminate the surrounding cave and boardwalk by string lights. If you can make it inside and avoid Devoras highly trained female assassins known as “Devora’s 7 Deadly Sins” you may just be able to save Baby Boo and reunite the two tribes. This baby is especially important to the dragon tribe as it represents a mix of races instead of two dragons which is key to Glaudron The Dreamer (the dragon who’s dream we are in) to reach empathy and understanding.Sample Quest 2
Goblin Royalty have been stealing Selkie Women’s seal skins. As everyone knows if you steal a selkie’s seal skin while they are in human form then they are bound to you. Most of the selkies have already married off to Goblin Royalty and many of their selkie partners died in an attempt to get them back. Some selkies have even turned to disfiguring themselves to appear undesirable to the goblins. A selkie who has been withered by Idlman the Eyless’s potion “the nymph’s nightmare” comes to the resistance with a plee: her daughters seal skin has been stolen and given to Fester Appleworm’s son Rotty. When Rotty comes of age next week they will use the power of the seal skin to call her daughter (Soola) to them to be wed. Rotty can be found at the The Royal Gardens during the festival of flowers where he and his friends are in the back teasing a dwarf girl with a mustache. The mission? Go beat up Rotty and steal back Soola’s seal skin.Sample Quest 3
An old witch in a dancing chicken hut arrives outside Bumbersnoot and Waits Academy of Arcane Arts simultaneously with the disappearance of 3 of its students. She demands that the bonsai ent, that teaches students how to make animated vegetables, be released to her for its own safety for, as she tell them, a bad man is coming for him. She gives the school 3 days to respond and in the meantime the school goes on lockdown. They decide to sell the bonsai to the dwarves who can use his powers to control trees in their logging operations. Bonsai is to be loaded on a train and sent away by dawn. It’s time for the resistance to act. French Emma has secured some first class tickets aboard the dwarven express and Hellabore Foxglove calls in a favor from his clients- The Huckleberryboot Bandits who live in the canyon lands outside town. Will you go with French Emma inside the train or wait with the bandits to rob it from the outside? Whatever you do- do it quick because Firebloom Starblossom has set the bridge with explosives. The train is guarded with goblin police and dwarf miners not to mention of the resistance knows about this who else does? Could this “bad man” that the witch was scared of be a passenger aboard the train?Possibilities are endless.
Noteworthy props:

Fox Fosters Cowprint travel case- Fox Fosters is the champion of Turtle Ball (a game where two teams compete throwing a small turtle shell stuffed with flammable abjects through flaming hoops in an obstacle course) has lost has travel case. As everyone knows the captain of a turtle ball team who wins the World Cup must go on a quest so that when, in 7 years, at the next World Cup, they may be dubbed a knight of turtleball. His case has his first ever turtlball and his lucky fox sash. He would be forever in your debt if it was returned to him. And lucky for you he hasn’t chosen a quest yet.
-
A helmet of the Knights of Gildorean Gold- legend has it there were 5 princes of a wealthy kingdom of men. A witch cursed them for not being able to see past the wealth on their faces and locked their heads inside magical golden masks. These masks could only be opened by cutting off the head at the neck. Over the years all but 1 brother died and 4 knights took up an oath to protect him. A wizard imbued the fallen princess golden masks with great power and all 4 knights locked their heads inside. Queen Carmilla killed the last prince leaving the knights without any purpose except revenge. This helmet can be found on a dying knight and gifts divine power at great consequence.

Castle Noctorum- A sentient castle filled with trap doors that eats all who venture in besides the Master of the house- Igor Noctorum.
-
The Rainy Umbrella- an umbrella that rains on those underneath it… that’s all.
Side Notes
There are many more characters and locations including an entire world outside Gorgatha that I have dreamed up. This includes a vast list of pirates that carouse the Archfey Archipelago off the coast of Gorgatha.
I’ve only played this world with kids and half the plot hooks I send out are written up in the Goblin City Grimoire (the goblin newspaper). I have a timeline of events that happen in Gorgatha whether or not they interfere but if they do they could very well change the course of the world.
I've started groups in Bumbersnoot and Waits Academy for the Arcane Arts before as well. A school where you can secretly learn to make animated vegetables from a bonsai'd Ent instead of learning how to make magical candies and automatons. This game may sound like a steampunk Harry Potter but I've tried my very best to stray far away from both and keep it in a more classical Tolkieny kind of vibe.
I could almost see this as a platform game like Spyro or Crash where you’re breaking fairies bottles as you go along and curing the world back to its beautiful magical fairytale origins. I think it works equally well as a vast and complex RPG world where anything is possible.
I have a few images as well but I couldn't figure out how to upload them.
Hope you enjoyed reading about my world. Thanks Everyone
